The biggest problem new businesses have is getting noticed from the crowd. After all, what good is a great product or service if no-one is using it? Since social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter are free, it’s a no brainer you advertise your services there. It’s not enough to simply be there though. While it may seem counter-intuitive, expanding your business isn’t always the right choice. This is especially true for start-up companies who find themselves riding a wave of hype and anticipation. What seems like the dream scenario and quickly turn into a nightmare. Ordering too much inventory and expanding into the wrong area are common mistakes small businesses can make. Even large corporations take the time to measure regional demographics before moving into a new area. Analyse the current local spending trends and take into account any future development plans that could affect this.
